Alang on the Gujarat coast is the largest ship recycling yard in the world. Serviceable machinery comes off the vessels broken there: pumps, compressors, motors, heat exchangers, and spares for engines that left production decades ago. For an older ship, or a part nobody still makes, a tested reclaimed unit is often the only thing that will make the tide.

Yes, by launch, subject to port authority clearance and weather. Boatage is quoted separately on the same requisition so there is no surprise line on the invoice.
None at our own desks. Partner ports sometimes carry a minimum, and we tell you that in the quote rather than after you have confirmed.
Median thirty minutes on a complete requisition, any hour. An incomplete list takes longer only because we come back to ask rather than guess at substitutions.
We flag it and offer an equivalent with the brand and specification stated. We do not substitute silently, because a substitution the chief engineer did not agree to is worse than a short delivery.
A signed delivery note checked against your list with the duty officer, the invoice, a packing list, and certificates of origin or conformity where the item requires one.
Proforma against the first order. Thirty days from invoice thereafter, subject to credit approval. We invoice in USD or INR, whichever your office prefers.
Yes. Part-load at the first port and the balance at the next is normal, and it is quoted as one requisition so the paperwork stays together.
